DRF's good travel advice

Here you can read the Danish Travel Agency Association's good travel advice for a problem-free trip.

Draw attention to special circumstances and considerations (e.g. citizenship, disability)

Get special requests in writing (view, balcony) - such requests must be stated on the invoice to be part of the agreement.

Read through the travel agency's standard terms and conditions (very useful information about the trip can be found here and is part of the basis of the agreement)

Always read the itinerary, invoice and other materials carefully. Check that the content matches what was agreed – otherwise you must react as soon as possible.

Please be aware of any disclaimers and limitations of liability (e.g. non-refundable tickets)

Remember that you are responsible for having the necessary documents for your trip.

Make sure that your passport, visa, vaccinations, and other documents, including e.g. "pill passports" and similar documents to legally be able to bring medication, are in order.

Make sure you are "contactable" (email/mobile phone/location, etc.) during the trip so that any changes can be reported as soon as possible.

Pack all the most necessary items in your hand luggage (travel documents, passport, visa, money, medicine, special needs aids)

Be aware of the rules on what can be taken in hand luggage, especially the rules on liquids (including makeup) are important

Arrive at the airport well in advance of check-in. It is your responsibility to present yourself at the check-in counter on time. This means that you must complete check-in NO LATER than the time stated on your ticket.

Find out if you are affected by the changes to public health insurance coverage – if necessary, take out insurance against this (the travel agency can help with advice)

Ensure proper communication with the seller – ask every detail and clarify any doubts

Remember that the travel agent is your sparring partner – they can tailor your individual wishes and special considerations.

Remember to complain on the spot and to the right authorities/persons if something does not correspond to what was agreed - otherwise you risk losing your claim if you wait to complain.
