IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RESERVATIONS – FLIGHT ONLY
Dalhoff Travel can assist with the reservation of your flight tickets and therefore acts as an agent on behalf of the aforementioned airlines, which are responsible for delivering the purchased transport service.
DISCLAIMER
Dalhoff Travel solely provides a service that includes planning and organizing your trip based on the flights offered by the airlines, including those listed in the Global Distribution System. Our service should be regarded as an additional service to the airline’s actual provision of transportation and is therefore considered an independent and separate service. Accordingly, Dalhoff Travel is only liable for errors and omissions directly related to the reservation and issuance of your ticket(s) and cannot, under any circumstances, be held liable for any failure or inadequate delivery of the purchased transport services.
This means that the airline(s) alone are responsible for ensuring the correct execution of the transportation to your final destination. In the event of the following occurrences, you must contact the airline directly, and the limitations of liability outlined in the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions as well as Regulation (EC) No 889/2002 will apply.
It is important to note that airlines often have agreements allowing them to operate flights on behalf of each other. To ensure transparency in complaints procedures, you are always entitled to file a claim against the airline stated on your travel documents/ticket (the contracting carrier) or the airline that physically operated the flight (the actual carrier), in accordance with the Montreal Convention.
In case of flight delays or cancellations:
You must contact the contracting airline as listed on your ticket or travel documents, or the operating airline responsible for the relevant leg of the journey.
In the event of airline bankruptcy:
You should contact the airline’s representatives for information on how to proceed with your journey, refunds, or possible takeover of transportation responsibilities by another airline.
In case of delayed or lost luggage (temporary or permanent):
All claims must be addressed to the contracting airline listed on your travel documents or the operating carrier as soon as you become aware of the issue. Always check your luggage for damage or loss before leaving the airport.
Loss or damage to persons, luggage, or cargo:
Any such claims arising from the transport or failure to properly execute it must be directed to the contracting or operating carrier as mentioned on your travel documents.
Liability limits under the above conventions are as follows:
-
Passenger death or injury: 113,100 SDR, unless the airline can prove it was not negligent or that the incident was due to the actions of a third party. Otherwise, compensation may be unlimited.
-
Delays in passenger transportation: 4,694 SDR
-
Destruction, loss, damage, or delay of luggage: 1,131 SDR
The current SDR exchange rate can be found at valutakurser.dk.
Dalhoff Travel informs you that if you, as a customer, have chosen to purchase sequential (non-connected) tickets to save on your journey, special rules and consequences apply. Your travel agent will have informed you of these prior to purchase. You can also verify on your invoice/order confirmation/itinerary whether such tickets have been purchased.
The special rules for sequential tickets always include a division of responsibility that makes each airline independently responsible. This means airlines are not liable for missed flights due to delays or cancellations by another airline in such cases. The travel agency accepts no responsibility in these situations.
